We have finally got the dates!!
After Monday 22nd's announcement regarding the roadmap out of lockdown, and into a more enjoyable way of living, we now know that the outside areas of the pub can be used from
April the 12th and that the pub can restart a regular way of trading from May 17th.
With this in mind we have decided that we will continue serving takeaways until May 16th and
open properly from May 17th.
The bar will be OPEN during takeaway service times at the weekends and if any customers wish to eat their takeaway outside they will more than welcome to, or join us for a drink before your chosen collection slot or even celebrate the chance to socialise in the sunshine ( hopefully!).
This has been a particularly strange start to 2021 but things are looking more positive everyday and with the support from all of our friends of the Plough we will see in the summer with hope and optimism.
Our famous Plough takeaway service is open and firing on all cylinders
We will serve the menu on Friday's & Saturday's. Sunday's we will offer a selection of Roasts.
This menu will be served from 5 until 9 on Friday's and Saturday's and 12 until 4 on Sundays
We will allocate 10 minute slots for collections, which can be chosen when placing your order.
Delivery is not available
The menu will change weekly and be updated every Tuesday.
We will take orders from 12pm until 9 each Friday & Saturday
We look forward to welcoming you all back when the time is right , but for now our delicious food will be available each weekend to remind you of better times & as Hippocrates said

We are a traditional village pub in Alvescot on the edge of the Cotswolds
serving excellent food & beers seven days a week in a welcoming and relaxed setting.
All of our beers come from Wadworth & Co in Devizes and we always stock their flagship beers
6X & IPA as well as Continental lagers, Guinness and a varied wine and gin menu.
Our talented head chef Ian Rogers is dedicated to using locally sourced produce which is in season and he has an exceptional talent for butchery. He only uses beef from Patrick Strainge butchers in Bampton and he dry ages the loins here for a minimum of 30 days producing exceptionally flavoured,
melt in the mouth steaks!
